JENNIFER DEARING

This classically trained singer has brought her vocal and performance range, strength and sensuality to the pop scene with a stage presence that can silence an audience and bring them to their feet in minutes.

Her voice has been heard all over NYC from uptown’s Symphony Space to midtown’s Downtime, to downtown’s Baby Jupiter to radio’s Hot 97. Most recently, she has performed numerous times at various clubs in the city including: Soul Cafe, Eugene and Club Decade.

Jennifer’s vocal lines and lyrics in one of her power driven tracks, “It’s About Time” fuse with Ebony Benson’s driving hip-hop beats and explore personal meaning beyond the human exterior in relatable developmental relationship landmarks. Another one of her originals, “You Can”, is an expressive, sultry track she wrote with Benson to express the power of establishing personal boundaries and the pleasure of having them selectively crossed.

Born and raised in Philadelphia, Jennifer trained classically and while in school, auditioned and was called back several times for Broadway’s “Rent” where she discovered her love for the Pop/R&B/Rock sound and New York City. She had always followed Mariah Cary and Whitney Houston’s careers growing up and continued to listen to and be influenced by Mary J. Blidge, Alicia Keys, Gospel’sKelly Price and pop divas, Celine Dion and Faith Hill. After exploring Opera and Rock Opera in New York, she began to record and perform background vocals and hooks with various artists including Rent’s Steven Alexander and Rough Rider Pop division’s LT.

Jennifer is also accomplished in the arenas of acting and dance. Recent work includes “Dances” with cast members from Broadway’s 42nd St and the film, “Knots” with Tara Reid and Paulina Porizkova. She incorporates many performance aspects of what she has learned on stage and camera with her music and is diligently working to refine and learn new approaches to her craft. She thanks A-Train for assisting her in this constant development and having belief in her as an artist.
